Outage Probability versus Carrier Frequency in GeoSurf Satellite Constellations with Radio-Links Faded by Rain

For sites located in different climatic regions, we estimated the relationship between annual average probability distributionof exceeding a fixed rain attenuation, and carrier frequency range 16 to 100 GHz, zenith paths of GeoSurf satellite constellations. In these constellations attenuation is independent altitude number satellites. Rain iss calculated with Synthetic Storm Technique, reliable prediction method, by using on-site measured rain-rate time series. A suitably defined outage factor shows that probability, for power margin, tends saturate as increases. wideband radio-links, such spread spectrum design, there very likely long-term distortion due in-band probability.
